Open Question: Immigrating to Fort Worth, TX - what are some of the basic costs?

We are considering immigrating to the USA, more specifically Fort Worth, TX as we have family here. It will be just my wife and I and we need to work out some sort of budget. If possible we need to know what the basics are going to cost. We do not lead a lavish lifestyle. We will be purchasing a vehicle cash so no need to add that to the budget. We also do not need to be close to town as I can work from home.
